Every story must start somewhere....

I’ve been interested in crafting or at least trying to be creative since I was a child.. As a child, I was around gardening and canning but have found I didn’t get interested in that until a few years ago.

I have sewed, knitted, done stained glass, fused glass, created mosaic pieces, attempted candle making, nalbinding, luceting, needlework, silk paining, spinning with drop spindle and I am sure I have forgotten some. Like many people, I have also become more interested in living a more frugal life, eating better, exercising more and taking care of the environment.

Longer term, I’d love to be out of the middle of town with a  mini homestead that would allow me greater room to play and experiment with everything from raised bed gardening to wind power.

So here starts my adventures in blogging to document my triumphs and lessons learned.
